The player in question is Granit Xhaka. Xhaka enjoyed a fantastic 2022/23 season with Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta moved the Swiss international into a more advanced role in midfield, allowing him to impact the play a lot more in the final third.
Xhaka scored five and assisted seven in the league, playing a crucial role in Arsenal clinching 2nd place.
However, despite coming off arguably his best season in an Arsenal shirt, Xhaka looks to be heading toward the exit door.
Recent reports suggested Xhaka will leave the Emirates for Bayer Leverkusen in the next window for just £13m, after the German club offered him a five-year deal.
Now though, according to reports, Bayern Munich have presented Xhaka with a three-year contract that includes the option for an additional year.
Convincing Xhaka to turn down Leverkusen may have been fairly easy, but getting him to say no to the best team in Germany who are guaranteed to win some form of silverware every season is likely to be much harder.
