Betting Tip of the Day
TipMan Tips Bet Builder of the Day: Sunday’s World Cup Bet Builder Double
Japan vs Costa Rica - Sunday 27th 10:00
Japan 4 or more corners
Japan 4 or more shots on target
Japan face Costa Rica having surprised Germany in their opening game and can put really pressure on the German side with a win here. A surprise pre match but this Japanese side really deserved their win and shown plenty of concentration and discipline as well as plenty of quality at the other end of the pitch.
They now face a Costa Rica side who were vested 7-0 by Spain and in all honesty looked very poor.
Japan have averaged 5.40 corners taken per game and against a poor Costa Rica side with the added incentive of qualifying for the knockout stages you’d expect them to pile on the pressure. They racked up 6 corners against Germany so again you’d expect them to at least match that against this Costa Rica team.
Japan have averaged 5 shots on target per match in recent times whilst Costa Rica had 7 shots on target against them against Spain. I find this interesting as Spain are a very technical side who probably don’t shoot as often as they should, and you’d fancy Japan to be a lot more direct here.
Spain vs Germany - Sunday 27th 19:00
Spain 4 or more corners
Spain 4 or more shots on target
Spain and Germany meet here in a massive game and the first fixture which has two of the big nations locking horns.
Contrasts from both teams opening games with Spain looking very good albeit against a poor side and a German side who will be extremely disappointed in their opening loss to Japan.
Spain created chance after chance and although the German side will be a much bigger test, they looked very poor defensively and you’d expect Spain’s interact style to create plenty of chances here.
The last meeting in the Nations League saw Spain run out 6-0 winners and although unlikely there is a big chance that they could run out easy winners again.
Spain average 5 corners per match and have taken 4 or more corners in 70% of their matches.
Again, Spain average 4.9 shots on target per match but with how frail the German defence looked I’d expect them to expose them a few times here and beat that average.
A win for Spain will see them qualify and potentially knock Germany out if Japan fail to get any points against Costa Rica, added incentive to eliminate one of the tournament favourites so early.

Belgium v Morocco
Belgium to win
Belgium will consider themselves lucky to have beaten Canada in their World Cup opener. Canada attacked Belgium for all 90 minutes but lacked the quality in the final 3rd to punish Belgium despite having 21 goal attempts. Croatia drew a poor game against Morocco 0-0 in a game of very few chances. Belgium can seal qualification here with a win against Morocco and we fully expect them to do so. Kevin De Bruyne had a poor game by his standards, as did Eden Hazard and we expect them to turn that round here. Belgium were poor against Canada and failed to impress, but still created a handful of good chances on the counterattack and should have too much quality here for Morocco and this time we expect them to be more clinical.
Spain v Germany
Spain or Draw
Spain were remarkable in their World Cup opener, beating a poor Costa Rica 7-0 without a recognised striker in the side. Germany were beat to Japan, and despite having 75% possession and 25 attempts, it was Japan who deserved the win and created the better chances. Germany were poor passing out from the back and lacked pace against a very athletic Japan side on the counter. Spain press in packs and are near flawless in possession. If Germany make even half the mistakes here as they did in their opener, it could be a very easy win for Spain. The last time these sides went head-to-head in the Nations League, Spain won 6-0 and we just cannot see how Germany beat Spain. The double chance market looks great value for an acca.
Croatia v Canada
Over 1.5 Match Goals
Croatia drew a very boring 0-0 with Morocco where very few chances were created. Talisman Modric worked hard to force something for Croatia but they seriously lacked quality on the day. Croatia came into the World Cup in great form and will need to win here if they want to qualify behind Belgium. Canada were very impressive in their defeat to Belgium, where they had 21 goal attempts. Canada attack in numbers and fast, but they do leave themselves open at the back to be hurt on the counterattack. Both sides need to push for a win here and that should leave holes at the back. Over 1.5 match goals looks great value and is priced that way due to the score lines of the openers.
Bristol Rovers v Boreham Wood
Bristol Rovers to win
League 1 Bristol Rovers host National League promotion chasers, Boreham Wood in this English FA Cup tie. The 2 sides have never faced each other before, and Bristol Rovers will expect to progress from this tie whilst resting a few key players. Realistically, Bristol will not challenge for a playoff place this season but will not be dragged into a relegation battle, they therefore may focus on a cup run. Boreham Wood are chasing promotion to League 2 and their focus is almost certainly there. Boreham Wood have won 1 of their last 7 away games and we don’t see that changing here.
