Preview for Inter Miami v Toronto FC

Inter Miami will begin a three-game MLS homestand when they welcome Toronto to Nu Stadium on Saturday.

The Herons are looking to end a four-match winless run across all competitions, while Toronto arrive having earned points in five of their last six MLS matches.

Inter Miami remain second in the Eastern Conference despite a difficult run of results, with their 2-2 draw against Philadelphia Union in midweek extending their winless run to four matches across all competitions.

They also remain unbeaten at home against Toronto, winning six of their previous seven meetings in Fort Lauderdale. Saturday’s fixture will be the first between the teams at Nu Stadium.

Toronto, meanwhile, have struggled to collect victories but remain firmly in contention for a playoff place.

The Reds are just three points behind the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, despite winning only one of their last 14 league matches.

Robin Fraser’s side have earned points in five of their last six MLS fixtures, including a dramatic 3-3 draw with Charlotte FC last time out.

Match Prediction

Inter Miami
3 – 2
Toronto FC

Toronto have shown enough in recent weeks to cause Miami problems, but the Herons possess considerably more attacking quality and will be desperate to end their winless run in front of their home supporters.

The visitors should find a way through a Miami defence that has looked vulnerable, but Messi and company should have enough firepower to claim all three points
