Leeds United faced off with Tottenham at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites headed into the clash sat 15th in the Premier League table and without a win in five.
This has led to Marcelo Bielsa’s side moving to within three points off the relegation zone, with 18th place Burnley able to overtake them by winning one of their two games in hand.
One of Leeds’ main issues under Bielsa has been their lack of defensive solidarity. Of course, one of the things that many admired about Bielsa’s Leeds last season was how they went toe-to-toe with every club, earning some fantastic results along the way.
Now though, Leeds have lost their spark and their gung-ho style is really costing them. In their last two games before Tottenham, Leeds shipped 10 goals vs Liverpool and Manchester United.
And, after just 45 minutes of action on Saturday, Leeds’ serious defensive frailties were exposed by Tottenham as Matt Doherty, Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane had found the net before the half-hour mark had even past.
5 – Leeds are only the second side in Premier League history to concede 3+ goals in five consecutive matches in the competition, after Sunderland in November 2005. Exposed.

Marcelo Bielsa fan reaction
After an awful first 45 vs Spurs, Marcelo Bielsa has also come in for heavy criticism online.
The Argentine is highly regarded in the footballing world, including by top managers like Pep Guardiola.
However, Bielsa’s refusal to change up his style of play, even against the bigger sides, appears to be having a detrimental impact on how he is viewed by many fans, with a large number calling for Bielsa to be sacked on Saturday:
