Highly-touted Ivory Coast international winger Amad Diallo could be set for another loan spell away from Old Trafford during the upcoming 2023-24 campaign after relegated outfit Southampton has made contact with Manchester United for the 20-year-old.
According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, new Saints manager Russell Martin views the Ivorian as an ideal summer move that could help push the club right back up to the Premier League and help the club avoid a prolonged absence from the top flight of English football.

A versatile attacking player capable of playing anywhere across the front three as well as residually in a central attacking midfield role, Diallo is coming off a sublime 2022-23 Championship campaign with Sunderland that saw him smash 14 goals and 4 assists across 43 appearances while helping the Black Cats reach the playoff semi-finals after finishing 6th in the table.
With two years still left on his deal at Old Trafford, the £37million Red Devils signing has yet to make a considerable impact for the English juggernaut but is still reportedly viewed as a player that may still have a future at the club moving forward despite the emergence of Alejandro Garnacho and the move for Chelsea’s Mason Mount this window.
