4 Sorare MLS gems for Gameweek 379

LAFC return to action for the first time in MLS since early May when they take on Atlanta on Thursday, before completing their double header at Houston at the weekend as Gameweek 379 kicks off in Sorare.

Steve Cherundolo’s side have been in Champions League action - they were losing finalists - and have dropped down the Western Conference as a result, with two games in hand on current leaders St Louis City.

Eastern leaders FC Cincinnati face the trip to Vancouver as they look for a seventh win on the bounce.

101 Great Goals has looked at the data to see which players you should consider picking for the week ahead in your Sorare MLS team, analysing the most in-form players judging by their last five average scores and looked at who each player is to come up against in the next gameweek to suggest who you should pick in your side.

Goalkeeper

Pedro Gallese - vs Colorado (h)

Orlando are in the midst of a solid run of form, rather than a spectacular one having gone five games unbeaten in MLS albeit with just two wins. Their last win, a 3-0 win away at New York RB, was the first clean sheet they had kept since the end of April and resulted in a strong score for Gallese in goal. He doesn’t have amazing history of recent scores with an L5 of 52, but with a home game against Colorado to come he could fancy another high score.

Defender

Lucas Bartlett - vs Galaxy (h)

St Louis have been in great form, winning three games on the bounce to fly to the top of the Western Conference and scoring the most goals in that half of MLS in the process. Bartlett has hardly been a regular starter in the line-up, making just eight appearances so far this season since joining the club but two of his most recent scores of 90 and 86 represent a man becoming an integral player. His L5 of 66 could hint towards more high scores and a home game against LA Galaxy is a great opportunity for another high score.

Midfielder

Lucho Acosta - vs Whitecaps (a)

Six wins in a row for Cincinnati clearly mark them out as the most in-form team across MLS, and with just one defeat all season they are as sure a bet as you’re going to get that they will perform this weekend. Key to the success has been Acosta, the number 10 who has six goals in his last six games and two assists for the season as well. He already has 46 goal involvements halfway into his third season in MLS and is truly one of the best attackers in the league. His L5 of 67 shows just how in form he is.

Forward

Denis Bouanga - vs Houston (a)

LAFC return to action this week with two games - the first against Atlanta before they face Houston Dynamo at the weekend. Gameweek 379 will see Bouanga take on the struggling Dynamos on the back of a fine run of early season form, with 10 goals in 12 (league) appearances so far and seven in seven, including a hat-trick against Austin in April. He will be relishing a return to domestic action and looking to improve on an L15 of 63
