Manchester United transfer news: Benzema eyed, World Cup star linked & more

Here is all the latest Manchester United transfer news.

First up, according to Spanish outlet Nacional, Manchester United are looking to offer Real Madrid’s talismanic striker Karim Benzema a ‘crazy’ deal to get him to the Theatre. The 2022 Ballon D’Or winner has been the leader of Madrid’s forward battery in their previous two seasons.

But owing to his multiple injuries, extension talks between Benzema and Madrid are currently paralysed. And with United saving millions on Ronaldo’s contract termination, they want to offer a lucrative deal to Benzema.

The Red Devils are prepared to promise the French striker constant starts in Erik Ten Hag’s eleven as well.

Next, according to a report from Fichajes, Manchester United are the latest club to compete for the signature of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.

Erik Ten Hag would want to upgrade his midfield and Amrabat has proven himself in the ongoing World Cup. The 26-year-old could be a long time solution for United’s defensive midfielder problems, with Casemiro reaching the twilight of his career and both Fred and McTominay failing to impress.

Finally, as per the Mirror, Manchester United want to sign Benfica wonderkid Cher Ndour, who has also represented Italy at the U20 level.

The 18-year-old is yet to appear for Benfica’s first team and his contract expires at the end of the season. Manchester United could either pay a fee in January or sign him for free at the end of the season unless he signs an extension.
