A key member of the first-team setup at Scottish giants Celtic is the latest in line to take his talents to the Middle East with a view to the 2023/24 campaign.
Saudi Arabian transfers, of course, have taken their place front and centre in the continental headlines heading into the summer window.
This comes after a host of high-profile performers opted to leave European football behind, in favour of the riches of the Roshn Saudi League.
To this point, the likes of Karim Benzema, Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante and Ruben Neves have all taken their talents to Asia, joining Cristiano Ronaldo amid a seismic shift in the football landscape.

And such moves are expected to continue en masse over the months to come, with one such player primed to follow suit, as alluded to above, coming in the form of Jota.
Wide-man Jota is fresh off a stellar season in Scotland, which saw him play a central role en route to the club’s latest domestic treble.
And such exploits appear to have caught the eye of the big-money transfer chiefs at Al-Ittihad.
As per a report from reliable journalist Ben Jacobs, Jota is on the verge of making the move to Saudi Arabia, to link up with the aforementioned Benzema and Kante in Jeddah.
The personal terms of a contract are already understood to have been agreed upon between the parties, with the 24-year-old therefore expected to be unveiled as Al-Ittihad’s latest big-name addition ‘in the next 48 hours’.
