København vs Breiðablik match preview
Having won last Tuesday’s first leg at Kópavogsvöllur, København are set to cruise into round three.
A week ago, Jordan Larsson and Rasmus Falk were on target in the first half in a 2-0 victory for the Danish champions in Kópavogur.
København have, to date, qualified for the Champions League group stages on five occasions, including last season, with Jacob Neestrup’s side set to move one step closer to getting there again.
Breiðablik meantime have done remarkably well just to get this far, already overcoming Tre Penne, Budućnost Podgorica and Shamrock Rovers in this season’s qualifiers, the latter a massive shock.
So, even if Óskar Hrafn Þorvaldsson’s team can’t turn this tie around at Parken, which seems unlikely, they’ll get two more opportunities to become the first-ever Icelandic side to feature in a UEFA group phase.
The winners of this tie will take on Sparta Prague in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
