Serie A champions SSC Napoli remain doggedly determined to keep hold of star striker Victor Osimhen this summer amid serious interest from outside of Italy’s borders, with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis holding firm surrounding his position of strength on keeping the Nigerian forward in Campania in 2023-24.
Osimhen, who became the first African to ever be crowned Capocannoniere at the conclusion of a Serie A season, has been continuously linked with some of the biggest clubs across Europe, including Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Chelsea. But for De Laurentiis, Osimhen will be in club colors next season.

Though Napoli has every chance of keeping hold of the former LOSC Lille standout, it could very well come to a price point that the Scudetto holders would almost be forced to accept in what would likely eclipse the previous record sale of Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus in 2016 for a cool €90m.
The 24-year-old formed one of the most lethal attacking partnerships found anywhere in the continent in 2022-23 with Georgian talismanic winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with the par combining for 52 goals and assists in the Serie A all while leading the charge to the club’s first league title in over thirty years.
Should Napoli keep hold of both start-studded attackers, De Laurentiis’ beloved club will certainly be viewed as the odds-on favorite to repeat as Serie A champions in the upcoming campaign.
