Liverpool in advanced talks for €25m bargain signing

Liverpool could land a serious bargain in the upcoming transfer window.

Liverpool’s biggest weakness this season has been their midfield. Jurgen Klopp built his success at Liverpool around a fast, powerful, pressing midfield, which mainly consisted of Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

However, Wijnaldum has now left, Henderson is not the player he once was and Fabinho has also put in some questionable displays over the last few months.

A number of Liverpool’s current midfielders are also expected to leave the club this summer.

James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all out of contract at the end of the season and are expected to depart.

As a result, fresh legs will be needed in the summer and a new name has now been touted.

Reports on Saturday claim Liverpool are interested in signing the Bayern Munich midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch.

The 20-year-old Dutchman joined Bayern at the start of the season in a deal worth around €25m but he has found it difficult to hold down a regular starting spot under Julian Nagelsmann.

A report from Fichajes claims that Liverpool are now closing in on the signing of Gravenberch and they are in advanced talks with the German club regarding a summer transfer.
