Ralf Rangnick reveals what ‘quite a few’ Manchester United players have been asking for ahead of Watford

Anthony Elanga caught the headlines earlier this week when he came off the bench and scored an equaliser for Manchester United in their Round of 16 Champions League clash vs Atletico Madrid.

After the game, the young forward came out and explained how he had researched the opponent beforehand and was aware that Jan Oblak comes out and leaves a huge space at the left of his goal, which is where Elanga placed his shot.

Now, Ralf Rangnick has been asked about the youngster’s comments ahead of Manchester United’s next outing and stated: "If Anthony [Elanga] really did that [do his research on Atletico Madrid], it just shows what kind of professional and character he is.

“He should get all the credit for that but it’s not just him that does that, it’s also the whole team."

Rangnick went on to explain that quite a few Manchester United players have now been asking for additional information about their next opponent:

"They’re have been quite a few [United] players asking for additional information about the next opponent, the goalkeeper or defenders."

Manchester United vs Watford

Manchester United’s next opponents are Watford, whom they face on Saturday at 3 pm UK time.

Manchester United head into the latest gameweek sat 4th in the Premier League, but are well aware that Arsenal can catch them if they win their games in hand.

Watford, meanwhile, are down in 19th place with three sides above them having played at least one fewer game – a grim outlook for the Hornets.
