Manchester United faced off with Newcastle United on Sunday in a Premier League clash, looking to make it five wins out of six.
However, when all was said and done, United were held to a 0-0 draw by the Magpies.
Christian Eriksen missed that clash, and the Dane was a huge loss in Manchester United’s midfield.
Now, Erik ten Hag has provided an update on Eriksen for United’s next game, but it doesn’t look too good:
“We miss him when he’s not available. But we have a squad and another 11 players on the pitch. So then we have to construct another team and we can bring players from the bench, who are all good,” Ten Hag said.
“I can’t tell [if he will face Spurs]. I know you’re from Denmark, and want to know, and I want to express he’s played fantastic, at this moment, for us. In our team, he really contributes to what we are at this moment. I don’t know if he will be available for Wednesday but I hope [so], of course.”
Manchester United play host to Tottenham on Wednesday evening in a league outing.
Tottenham have lost just one league match this campaign and have the joint-best defence in the division.
