Saudi Arabia vs Uzbekistan live streaming: Preview

Saudi Arabia entertain Uzbekistan at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh on Tuesday in the AFC 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Herve Renard’s men are top of Group D with 17 points, and are unbeaten in all of their group games winning five and drawing three matches thus far.

Saudi defeated Singapore 3-0 in their last match on Friday, with goals from Salem Al-Dawsari, Fahad Al-Muwallad and Saleh Al-Shehri sealing the win.

Al-Muwallad will look to add to his tally, having scored three in his last four games, Abdullah Otayf returns, but Al-Dawsari misses out through suspension.

Uzbekistan, managed by Vadim Abramov, who have never qualified for a World Cup, defeated Yemen 1-0 last Friday to keep their dream alive.

The Turanians head into this winner-takes-all clash with four victories from five games, and will be able to count on midfielder Otabek Shukurov who returns from suspension. Eldor Shomurodov of Genoa will start alongside Jaloliddin Masharipov, who has three goals in his last two appearances for his nation.

Both last faced each other in November 2019, with Saudi Arabia winning 3-2.

Prediction: Saudi Arabia 2 – 0 Uzbekistan

Group leaders Saudi Arabia have home advantage and go into the match on the back of a 3-0 victory, so are likely to continue their winning momentum.
