Two sides in desperate search of a bounce-back result are set to face off in a Championship clash at Vicarage Road on Saturday, October 15th.

The matchup in question will see struggling Watford play host to a Norwich City outfit to have themselves suffered a dip in form of late.

Beginning with the former, Watford, just weeks ago, looked primed to get the club’s faltering campaign firmly back on track.

This came as the instillation of Slaven Bilic on the Hornets bench culminated in a spectacular return to winning ways, in the form of a 4-0 drubbing of Stoke City.

And yet, over the fortnight since, all associated with the Hertfordshire-based outfit have been brought back down to earth with a thud.

A 2-1 home defeat to Swansea City was followed swiftly by a further loss last time out, on this occasion at the hands of relegation-battling Blackpool.

Watford, in turn, have been left in the depths of 14th in the Championship table, just six points clear of the relegation zone.

Bilic and co’s upcoming opponents, though, have not fared overly well of late themselves.

Norwich, on the back of a fine opening to the term, have left a lot to be desired with a number of their most recent performances.

The latest of these came last weekend, when the Canaries, despite pulling level late on, were nevertheless put to the sword by Preston North End in a five-goal thriller at Carrow Road.

This stretched the recent wobble being endured by Dean Smith’s men to just one win in four, in the process letting table-topping Sheffield United off the hook, and allowing QPR to draw level with them on 24 points.
