Hull City vs Leeds United match preview

Two of the Championship’s in-form sides are set to lock horns in a highly-anticipated clash at the MKM Stadium this Wednesday, September 20th.

The matchup in question will see Hull City act as hosts, in a meeting with Leeds United.

Beginning with the former, Hull, since an opening day defeat at the hands of Norwich, have turned things around in impressive fashion.

All told, across their last five league outings, the Tigers have rattled off three wins, to go along with a pair of draws.

Most recently, in their return to action post-international break, Liam Rosenior’s troops were forced to showcase their fighting spirit, too.

This came as a home meeting with Coventry City saw the visitors take the lead early on, only for Aaron Connolly to emerge from the bench to snatch a share of the spoils late on.

Wednesday’s hosts, though, could well have their work cut out for them later this evening.

This comes with upcoming opponents Leeds brimming with confidence, fresh off another head-turning result at the weekend.

The Whites, for their part, have steadied the ship in fine fashion of late, after slipping to defeat in each of their first two fixtures back in England’s 2nd tier.

Since, Daniel Farke’s side have notched eight points from an available 12, with each of their two wins having come in style, on the road.

This past weekend, Leeds made the trip to The Den, for a meeting with Millwall.

And, when all was said and done, the Yorkshire outfit sent something of a message to the rest of the Championship’s clubs, thanking goals by way of Joel Piroe (2) and Georginio Rutter for an eventual 3-0 triumph.

So, all of this considered, how do we at 101 envision Wednesday’s action playing out at the MKM?

Though Leeds should be considered narrow favourites, we are backing an eventual sharing of the spoils come the full-time whistle in the Yorkshire derby clash.
