Premier League

Sunday is the last day of an exciting Premier League season, with plenty to play for. Who’s Going to Win the Premier League?

Some predicted back in August that Manchester City would win the Premier League handily on their way to a record-breaking fourth title in a row. Though Arsenal has made it to the very end, City leads by two points with one game remaining and 1/14 on some sportsbooks. It has been much closer than that.

With their second-place result from the previous season, the Gunners have proven this was no accident. Regardless of what happens on Sunday, they will undoubtedly return next season, having improved under Mikel Arteta this year.

Given that Liverpool will have a new manager this summer, Arsenal appears to be the team most likely to unseat Manchester City from the Premier League in the future.

They are currently 9/1 to win the championship on Sunday; but, in order for that to happen, Arsenal must defeat Everton at the Emirates and hope that City loses to West Ham.

Arsenal has the superior goal differential by one, therefore the crown would be headed to north London for the first time in twenty years if Arsenal triumphed and City drew.

However, that would come as a surprise: City is 1/12 to win the season’s first round by defeating a West Ham team that David Moyes will lead for the final time.

Betting on the Premier League Top 5

Tottenham is currently at 1/25 to finish in fifth place in the Premier League. Without Harry Kane, that would be a respectable debut season for Ange Postecoglou.

Even though it has since decreased the majority of Spurs supporters would have replied yes if you had asked them in the summer if they would have pursued Europa League qualification this season.

With Chelsea three points behind them and odds of 17/2 to take fifth place, they might still have some work ahead of them. Mauricio Pochettino’s club was mired in midtable for the most of the season, but a late-season surge has elevated them to the European picture.

They are ahead of Spurs by three goals on goal differential. On Sunday, Tottenham goes to Sheffield United, who have been demoted, while Chelsea hosts Bournemouth.

Whatever happens at Stamford Bridge, Spurs will finish in fifth place if they manage to avoid losing. Postecoglou’s team is 3/10 to win at Bramall Lane, and the Blades have lost their previous six games. However, on the final day of the season, odd things happen.

Betting on the Premier League Top 6 & 7

Chelsea is 1/20 to finish in the top six after winning four of their past five games. If that’s the case, Pochettino can call his first season at the Bridge respectable as he will have successfully brought European football back.

The west Londoners lead Newcastle United 7/1, who are in seventh place, by three points. Eddie Howe’s team would likely finish sixth if the Blues were to lose against Brentford since the Magpies have an eight-goal advantage.

Newcastle suffered a blow from their midweek 3-2 loss at Manchester United and Chelsea’s triumph at Brighton. They appear set for seventh place, which would put them in the Europa Conference League for the following campaign.

The Red Devils are in ninth place and, while having the same number of points as Newcastle (57), Erik ten Hag’s club is behind Eddie Howe’s squad by 24 goals on goal differential.

United’s goal difference is currently sitting at -3 which could work against Ten Hag when the team evaluates his status at the conclusion of the season.

United’s best chance of playing in Europe the next season is to win the FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 25. They travel to Brighton on Sunday. But United is 9/2 to win the trophy.

Betting on the Premier League Relegations

Burnley’s late attempt to stay up ended last weekend, Sheffield United was demoted weeks ago, and it will take a miracle for Luton to avoid joining them this Sunday.

Despite the fact that Nuno Espirito Santo’s club leads Nottingham Forest by three points, the Hatters are still ahead on goal differential by twelve. Forest is a 100/1 shot to win, but Luton is unbeatable.

The courageous team led by Rob Edwards hosts Fulham on the last day. Burnley visits Forest.
