Premier League giants Chelsea have knocked back the opportunity to sign free agent attacker Paulo Dybala, according to reports.

Gifted forward Dybala, of course, is available for little more than a signing on fee at present, after long-time club Juventus opted against renewing the 28-year-old’s contract.

With previous frontrunners to strike a deal, Inter Milan, having since opted to pull the plug on their own swoop for Dybala after landing Romelu Lukaku, the door has therefore been left ajar for other clubs to step through.

Links, in turn, have been forthcoming with the likes of Napoli, AS Roma, Manchester United, and Sevilla.

And yet, to this point, no contract offer has been placed upon the table of the once so highly sought after Argentine.

Dybala's options, meanwhile, this weekend appear to have lessened even further.

This comes amid the suggestion that the former Palermo standout has been rejected by one of the giants of the Premier League, in the form of Chelsea.

As per a report from Ed Aarons of The Guardian, Dybala's representatives recently reached out to the powers that be at Stamford Bridge, to offer up the services of their client.

Chelsea, though, despite being on the lookout for further reinforcements in the attacking third on the back of their capture of Raheem Sterling, turned down the chance to bring in the Argentinian international without a 2nd thought.
