Chelsea’s Matt Miazga & Mexico’s Diego Lainez
It’s doubtful whether Matt Miazga will ever become a Chelsea regular.
Miazga joined Chelsea from the New York Red Bulls back in 2016. However the US international has been farmed out for the majority of his Chelsea career.
First Miazga spent time at Vitesse, while the American defender is currently on loan at Nantes.
On Tuesday night, Miazga was in action for the USA against Mexico in an international friendly.
Miazga has gone viral after he trolled Mexico’s Diego Lainez for being short.
The Chelsea defender stands 6’4′, while Lainez is only 5’6′.
Cue the following exchange, as Miazga mocked Lainez for being vertically challenged.

Social media reaction to Matt Miazga
. @MattMiazga3 on confrontation with Lainez: “We talked a little smack. It’s part of the game. It’s mental warfare. We got in their heads. They got a red card right after it. It took a toll and we won the game.” #USAvMEX #usmnt

USA 1 – Mexico 0
The USA picked up a morale boosting 1-0 win over Mexico. The Americans, of course, failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Tyler Adams scored the only goal of the game for the USA in the 71st minute. It was Adams’ first goal for his country.
