Robert Lewandowski's future remains up in the air this summer but Spanish juggernaut Barcelona is primed to make a third attempt at securing the services of the star striker this summer.

Reports from Polish media outlet Meczyki have claimed that Barcelona is to submit their third bid for the second all-time leading goalscorer in the Bundesliga within the next 24-hours as they hope to edge closer to the Bavarian's valuation of the Polish hitman.

The 33-year-old Lewandowski is against remaining at the Allianz Arena past this summer, which has prompted Barcelona to approach the situation optimistically and is expected to table a third bid of €40million.

Additionally, Barça is also said to be including €10million in add-ons, with the total packaged bid hitting the €50million mark despite Lewandowski turning thirty-four before the end of the current summer.

But Bayern have already planned ahead for the departure of Lewandowski when they sealed a deal for Liverpool's Sadio Mané, while the club also retains the services of Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sané, and Kingsley Coman.

Surely, with Mané in the door, Barcelona retains control of the situation given the players' desire to depart Bavaria.

With news earlier this evening breaking that Premier League giants Chelsea have officially entered the race for Brazilian ace Raphinha - a player Barcelona has shown previous interest in - funds should no doubt be available to complete the deal before the beginning of the 2022-23 La Liga campaign.
