4 Sorare MLS gems for Gameweek 387

LAFC will be desperate to end a run of three successive defeats and close the gap on MLS Western Conference leaders St Louis when they face San Jose this weekend.

The reigning MLS champions have lost five of their last seven matches having lost just one of their opening 13 league games and are now three points adrift having lost the LA derby to Galaxy on July 4.

Seattle Sounders will also be looking to close the gap on St Louis who are three points clear, while after two games without a win and seeing their lead atop the Eastern Conference cut to six points, FC Cinicinnati will be hoping to overcome their own mini-blip.

101 Great Goals has looked at the data to see which players you should consider picking for the week ahead in your Sorare MLS team, analysing the most in-form players judging by their last five average scores and looked at who each player is to come up against in the next gameweek to suggest who you should pick in your side.

Goalkeeper

Jonathan Klinsmann vs Philadelphia Union (h)

On the face of it, Klinsmann would look a strange pick considering his low scores, but Klinsmann came off the bench to perform solidly in 45 minutes for Galaxy against their city rivals LAFC. With Jonathan Bond going off injured at the break, it leaves an opportunity for Klinsmann to make an impression after hinting at his abilities earlier in the season with scores of 68, 64 and 72. With a tough outing against Philadelphia to come, it could be another opportunity for several saves to help Klinsmann score highly.

Defender

Andrew Brody vs Orlando (h)

The Salt Lake full-back has had three high returns in his last four games, resulting in an L5 average of 63 with two assists in that time. His side are chasing St Louis in the Western Conference and a home game against Orlando could be a tough one but for the hosts’ recent form which has seen them pick up three wins in their last four matches. Brody has a history of going on prolonged runs of good form so he could be worth backing long term.

Midfielder

Ryan Gauld vs Seattle Sounders (h)

Forward

Christian Ramirez vs NYCFC (h)

With four goals and one assist in his last five matches, Ramirez has been enjoying a fine run of form and is enjoying his best goalscoring season in MLS since 2018, and that has translated into some good Sorare scores. He has notched totals of 88, 76, 70 and 64 in his last six matches and is one of the in-form strikers in the league making him a dangerous opponent for New York City to keep an eye on.
