4 Sorare MLS gems for Gameweek 381

There are just six MLS fixtures in Sorare’s Gameweek 381 as the international calendar takes precedence, but LAFC again have the chance to regain ground at the top of the Western Conference with a midweek game before their trip to face Sporting KC.

They must hope to better the result of St Louis however, who are away at high-flying Nashville while New England vs Orlando, DC United vs Real Salt Lake, San Jose vs Portland and New York City vs Columbus are the other fixtures in the gameweek.

101 Great Goals has looked at the data to see which players you should consider picking for the week ahead in your Sorare MLS team, analysing the most in-form players judging by their last five average scores and looked at who each player is to come up against in the next gameweek to suggest who you should pick in your side.

Goalkeeper

Roman Burki vs Nashville (a)

Burki has been one of the best keepers across MLS throughout the season, aiding to St Louis’ cause with just 17 goals conceded giving them by far the best goal difference across both conferences. They have failed to win in their last two, but Burki has been in fine form in both games and has made an impressive 17 saves in his last five matches to give him an L5 averaging rating of 63 that is the best in the league.

Defender

Daniel Lovitz vs St Louis (h)

Nashville have the best defence in the whole of MLS, with just 12 goals conceded so far this season. Lovitz has been an ever-present in the XI, and pretty much a constant presence across their last 40 games, during which period he has performed very well. That form has improved of late, with an L5 of 67 going into this weekend’s fixtures. He is an attacking threat from left-back too, with three assists in his last three games.

Midfielder

Facundo Torres vs New England (a)

Torres’ form has been a solid rather than spectacular scorer this season, with an L15 of 56 and an L5 of 59 suggesting he is an inconsistent performer in the Orlando City side. He has some way to go to match the 17 goal involvements – nine goals and eight assists – from last season, but currently has five goals and two assists to his name so far this campaign. With three goals and one assist in his last two games, Torres heads into this weekend in fine fettle.
