After claiming a victory over their fierce rivals last time out, can Celtic cement their place at the top of the table?
Before the international break, the Hoops prevailed 1-0 at Ibrox against Rangers in the first Glasgow derby of the season.
The only goal of the afternoon came in first half stoppage time, with Matt O’Riley’s headed through-ball finding Kyōgo Furuhashi who, with the thunderous half-volley, lashed into the bottom corner.
This was a vital victory for Brendan Rodgers, after seeing his side crash out of the League Cup against Kilmarnock, before bottom of the table St Johnstone left Paradise with a goalless draw.
Now, the Celts enter a vital, jam-packed, period of the season, with their Champions League opener against Eredivisie champions Feyenoord coming up on Tuesday at De Kuip.
Before then, will Celtic pick up three points here?
This seems the most-likely outcome, given that Dundee’s most-recent victory at Parkhead came in 2001.
Right now though, the Dark Blues are sixth in the table, with Tony Docherty’s first victory in management coming at home to Hearts three weeks ago.
Then, last time out, the Dee were 2-0 up at McDiarmid Park in the Tayside derby, Scott Tiffoney and Ricki Lamie both scoring, only for St Johnstone to score twice late on, thereby rescuing a point.
Here, anything other than a routine Celtic victory would be a surprise.
