Watch: Napoli fans’ wild celebrations as 33-year Scudetto wait officially ends

Napoli’s long, long-awaited Scudetto triumph was finally made official late on Thursday, sparking chaotic scenes across Italy.

Luciano Spalletti’s troops marked their return to action a short time ago.

Making the trip to the Stadio Friuli, the Partenopei went head-to-head with Udinese, in the knowledge that a solitary point would bring an end to a painful 33-year wait for the Serie A title.

And, when all was said and done, clinch a draw is precisely what Napoli went on to do.

After Sandi Lovric put Neapolitan celebrations on ice courtesy of an Udinese opener inside 15 minutes, top scorer Victor Osimhen bagged what proved to be a decisive equaliser early in the 2nd-half.

Spalletti and co, in turn, opened an insurmountable 16-point advantage over 2nd-placed Lazio in Italy’s top-flight, capping a frankly remarkable season.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear that chaotic celebrations on the part of the Napoli faithful have since kicked into full swing.

As three decades’ worth of emotions come pouring out, Partenopei supporters across Italy have let loose, with just some of the highlights - including the scenes at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona - showcased below:
