Everton head coach Frank Lampard has, on Friday, confirmed that no fewer than three members of his first-team setup on Merseyside are close to penning fresh terms with the club.
The season, to date, has of course proven an altogether trying one at Goodison Park.
Owing to a haul of just 14 points secured from 15 outings, the Toffees find themselves in the thick of the battle against relegation from England’s top-flight.
Safe to say, then, that ahead of what is set to prove a challenging festive period, all associated with the club were crying out for some positive news.

And now, as alluded to above, precisely that has been forthcoming.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of his side’s return to competitive action against Wolves on Boxing Day, Frank Lampard was asked for the latest on the ongoing contract negotiations between the powers that be at Goodison, and several key members of his squad.
