Tottenham ready to close 7th summer signing next week

Another Serie A star is inching ever closer to a move to north London

Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have positioned themselves to add ever further to Antonio Conte’s ranks over the course of the coming week, according to reports.

The Lilywhites, of course, have enjoyed a hugely productive summer to date.

Evidently keen to kick on after sealing a return to the Champions League under the watch of their new boss last time out, Daniel Levy and co. have not been at all shy in splashing the cash.

To this point in the window, Spurs have sealed deals for no fewer than six players, in the form of Richarlison, Ivan Perisic, Clement Lenglet, Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster, and Djed Spence.

Evidently, though, the ever-demanding Conte is not yet satisfied with the options at his disposal for the seasons to come.

In turn, Tottenham are primed to push a deal for the club’s 7th signing of the summer over the line as early as next week.

This comes with the former having set their sights firmly on the services of Destiny Udogie.

Left-back Udogie was omitted from Udinese’s matchday squad for a Coppa Italia meeting with FeralpiSalo on Friday, owing to the ongoing negotiations surrounding his future.

Should a move, as expected, be struck, though, the Italian youth international will remain on loan in Udine for the coming campaign.
