Chelsea have made three new signings so far this summer and more are expected.
Kalidou Koulibaly, Raheem Sterling and Marc Cucurella have been brought in so far this summer.
The German coach had expressed his frustration at the squad’s readiness for the new campaign after their pre-season defeat to Arsenal, however, he now appears far more content ahead of their opener against Everton.
“I’m not happy, I’m super happy”
Tuchel admitted he is “super happy” with Chelsea’s transfer business.
2022 has been a challenging year for the Blues from ownership issues to results to players leaving.
The west London club have seen Antonio Rüdiger, Andreas Christensen and Romelu Lukaku all leave the club.
The departures have left Chelsea in desperate need of reinforcements.
Koulibaly, Sterling and Cucurella are the trio who have been signed so far.
They are also strongly linked with moves for Frenkie de Jong and Wesley Fofana.
Now, Tuchel has been asked about his thoughts on his club’s transfer business, he said:
“I’m not happy, I’m super happy!
“These two guys are fantastic guys, fantastic footballers and exactly what we need.
“So this is brilliant to have Kalidou here now in defence and Raheem in offence, it’s top, top signings.”
