Raphael Varane confirms the two clubs he would leave Manchester United for

Raphael Varane is opening to leave Manchester United if the right club comes along.

Raphael Varane joined Manchester United in the summer of 2021, departing long-time club, Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has brought a wealth of experience and a winning mentality to Manchester United’s set-up.

Granted, he does get injured pretty regularly, but when he does line up alongside Lisandro Martinez, he is generally very impressive.

And with Manchester United likely to lose Harry Maguire this summer and Victor Lindelof not quite at the top level, the Red Devils are no doubt keen to hold on to Varane for as long as possible.

Now though, whilst on international duty with France, Varane has been discussing a Manchester United exit and conceded that there are two clubs he would consider leaving United for to end out his illustrious career.

Speaking to the French edition of GQ Magazine, Varane was grilled on whether Manchester United is the club that will boast him until the end of his playing career as he conceded it is ‘a serious option’:

“But Madrid seems complicated to me. Players don’t usually go back there. The most likely outcome today is that I will finish [my club career] in either Manchester or Lens.”
