Raheem Sterling future update provided amid poor Chelsea form

Raheem Sterling has struggled to find his feet in west London.

Mykhailo Mudryk made the move to Chelsea on Sunday, January 15th.

After signing both Mudryk and Joao Felix, with a summer move for Christopher Nkunku also lined up, Chelsea have a rather inflated forward line.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Armando Broja, David Fofana, Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Felix and Mudryk are all currently competing for three/four spots in Graham Potter’s frontline.

As a result, it was not too surprising to see that Chelsea were reportedly willing to part with some of their players.

According to a recent report from Football Insider, Chelsea will listen to offers for Raheem Sterling after their astonishing Mykhaylo Mudryk ambush.

The England star signed a five-year contract with the option of a further 12 months this past summer, but that would not stop the leadership from letting him go.

Now though, according to journalist Simon Phillips, that isn’t the case:

“Personally, I haven’t had any information to suggest that Sterling is up for sale right now,” Phillips told GiveMeSport.

“I know that he has been unhappy, but that’s been with his own performances. He’s not been happy with how he’s been playing, so he’s trying to correct that.

“Obviously, he’s got his injury at the moment, but he wants to come back and correct that. He wants to get back to how he started his Chelsea career, which was actually very good.”
