Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has, on Sunday, provided a fresh insight into the future of midfield star Bernardo Silva.
The name of Portuguese international Silva, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the media headlines over the course of the last couple of weeks.
This comes after the 28-year-old was identified as a key transfer target on the part of La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.
Amid Frenkie de Jong’s exit links, Silva was understood to have been viewed as the ideal replacement by Xavi Hernandez and the powers that be in Catalunya.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of the former AS Monaco man’s Blaugrana links were put to the aforementioned Pep Guardiola.
This comes after Silva shone bright once more 24 hours ago, in kicking Man City’s comeback downing of Crystal Palace into gear with his 2nd goal of the season.
This comes with Silva viewed as ‘irreplaceable’ by Guardiola, with the Portuguese therefore set to ‘stay at Manchester City’.
