Mikel Arteta wants 15 goal star at Arsenal with €22m deal eyed

Arsenal are looking to improve their attack this summer.

Arsenal currently have Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah on their books as natural centre-forwards.

But with Jesus having been sidelined for several months until recently, the no.9 role fell solely on Nketiah and he has not scored too many goals this campaign, perhaps leading Arsenal to the conclusion that they need more depth up front ahead of next season

The player on their radar to help solve this issue is Noah Okafor of RB Salzburg.

According to the Daily Mail, Salzburg are bracing themselves for interest from England for Okafor and Arsenal are the latest team to say they are keen.

Okafor has 10 goals and five assists in all competitions for the Austrian outfit this season, which includes three Champions League group stage goals.

The 22-year-old Swiss international is under contract with Salzburg until 2024, so the club may have to cash in on him this summer in order to avoid losing him for free next year.
