Manchester United join race to sign 22-year-old Premier League star

Manchester United are eyeing an up and coming Premier League star.

Manchester United are keen on signing the Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

As per Stretty News, Manchester United have joined the race for the stopper in recent weeks, alongside fellow Premier League outfit, Tottenham.

No potential fee is mentioned in the report, but given how impressive Guehi has been since he signed for Crystal Palace, and the fact he is English, expect the transfer fee to be pretty high.

The Eagles have never been shy about demanding high sums for their top stars, with Wilfried Zaha still at the club because nobody was willing to match Palace’s demands for the Ivorian.

As for Manchester United, they need to strengthen their backline if they wish to continue improving.

Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are a good first-choice centre-back pairing to have at any level.

Maguire remains a reliable asset for England, but he has fallen drastically out of favour under Ten Hag and looks set for a summer switch.

Lindelof, meanwhile, is simply unable to carry the ball out from the back well enough to fit into Ten Hag’s system.

Who has kept the most clean sheets in a single Premier League season?

Which club has Lionel Messi scored the most goals against?
