Manchester United’s no.1 right-back this season is Diogo Dalot.
The Portuguese has impressed under Erik ten Hag and can currently stake a claim for the best right-back in the Premier League.
His back-up, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, is still at Old Trafford, but has been inconsistent during his spell at the club.
This means Manchester United need to sign a new right-back, and one of the names up for discussion has been Denzel Dumfries.
Dumfries went to Qatar for the World Cup and shone on a number of occasions, including in the last-16 vs the USA.
He scored one and provided two assists from right-wing-back as the Netherlands saw off the USA by three goals to one.
And now, according to Calciomercato, Dumfries’ agent Rafaela Pimenta has flown to the UK to discuss with a host of Premier League clubs the prospect of signing his client in a late winter swoop.
Aside from Manchester United, Newcastle and Chelsea are also believed to be targeted by Pimenta as potential destinations for the Inter Milan star.
Inter Milan are demanding somewhere between €40-50m for the 26-year-old Dutch international. However, the report also adds that a summer transfer is far more likely.
