Liverpool told to pay €60m for son of legendary player

Liverpool will have to splash the cash if they are to sign a new midfielder this summer.

The player in question is Khephren Thuram.

Khephren Thuram is the son of former France international Lilian Thuram and the brother of Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram, who himself is being linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.

The 21-year-old – who is valued at around £22m by Transfermarkt – still has two and a half years left in his current contract so Nice are in a strong position to ask for a big fee to sell their star man.

Thuram joined current side OGC Nice in 2019 from AS Monaco.

He has since made 132 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit, during which time he has scored eight goals and provided 11 assists.

Now, according to a report by French outlet Foot Mercato, Real Madrid and Liverpool are keen on signing Khephren Thuram. But OGC Nice will demand a premium to part ways with the recently-debuted French international. And the youngster will cost around €60m in the summer transfer window.
