The player in question is Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga, who has been linked with a move to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Veiga has a contract with the Spanish club until the summer of 2026.
Veiga is a product of Celta Vigo’s academy. He is naturally a no.10 but he can also operate as an 8 and has even played a few games on the right-wing.
The youngster has made 43 appearances for Celta Vigo, with 28 of those outings coming in 2022/23. In said outings, he has scored eight goals and provided three assists.
And now, ESPN have revealed that Manchester United are eyeing a move to sign the Celta Vigo midfielder but face competition from Liverpool.
Erik ten Hag is looking to strengthen this summer and Veiga has emerged as a potential target for the Dutchman.
However, Man Utd will face competition for his signature as rivals Liverpool have commissioned reports on Veiga’s sporting and personal life as they eye a potential move.
Veiga is valued at around €35m, which is much cheaper than Jude Bellingham, whom both clubs have been linked with.
