Messi joined PSG in the summer of 2021 from long-time club, Barcelona.
The Argentine went on to have a solid season, scoring 11 goals and providing 15 assists in 34 outings.
Such a record for the majority of players, especially at 34, would be very good. However, there were some that argued that Messi was not at his best.
In 2022/23, however, at the age of 35, Messi has hit the ground running. In 17 games for PSG, he has already scored 12 and assisted 13.
Proving he can still go at the age of 35, Barcelona fans would no doubt love to see Messi return to the Camp Nou at some point in the near future.
However, it looks as though the Argentine could be MLS-bound.
However, as per The Athletic, Messi has also been linked with Inter Miami and a return to Barcelona.
They add that: “The most advanced of those options is understood to be Inter Miami, to the extent that the Major League Soccer franchise now expect Messi to arrive and hope he will sign in the coming months.
“Discussions between the two parties have been going on for a couple of years and there is increasing confidence that the proposed transfer will materialise. Jorge and Jose Mas — the brothers who co-own Inter Miami alongside David Beckham — are leading the negotiations and numerous meetings have taken place with the star’s father, Jorge.”
