Liverpool & Mohamed Salah

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is the Premier League’s top goalscorer.

After opening for the Reds on Saturday against Chelsea in front of the Kop, Salah became the first player to reach double figures for goals in this year’s Premier League.

The Egyptian has 10 goals in the league, and 15 goals in 20 matches in all competitions.

For the record, Philippe Coutinho was Liverpool’s top scorer last season with 14 goals in all competitions.

Salah & Mamdouh Abbas

Over the weekend it became known that Mohamed Salah has a special guest at Anfield for the Chelsea game.

He invited former Zamalek SC owner Mamdouh Abbas to watch the game in person on Merseyside.

The story goes that Mamdouh Abbas refused to sign Salah earlier in his career because he didn’t think he’d be good enough. After the game, Salah also took a photo with Mamdouh Abbas and his family.

‘From Liverpool to La Liga’

In the aftermath of the Chelsea game, Mamdouh Abbas has revealed a conversation he had with Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas.

Mamdouh Abbas believes that Salah could leave Liverpool after just one season to move to La Liga. As translated by King Fut, Mamdouh Abbas revealed:

Mohamed Salah is currently an institution with a back-end working efficiently to get the best out of the player.

Salah highly respects those in charge of this institution and as I have talked with his agent, we agreed that Salah should stay at Liverpool until the end of the season.

If he scored above 20 goals in all competitions this season, his price could rise up to 150 million Euros.

Most probably the upcoming destination for Salah will be La Liga.

For the record, 25-year-old Salah is under contract with Liverpool until 2022.
