Everton and Crystal Palace have agreed a swap deal that will see Dwight McNeil move to Selhurst Park, while Brennan Johnson heads in the opposite direction.
Both players are expected to undergo medicals on Monday before completing the transfers, with each set to sign an initial four-year contract at their new clubs.
McNeil came close to joining Palace in February after the clubs agreed a loan-to-buy deal worth £20m, but the transfer collapsed on deadline day because the necessary paperwork was not completed in time despite the winger having already passed a medical.
The deal has now been revived, with Johnson included as part of the agreement.
The Wales international joined Palace from Tottenham in a £35m move in January and helped the Eagles reach the Conference League final, although he was an unused substitute as they beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0 to secure the club’s first European trophy.
Johnson struggled to make a significant impact in South London, failing to score in 26 appearances across all competitions, including 13 Premier League starts.
McNeil, meanwhile, departs Everton after three seasons at Goodison Park and the Hill Dickinson Stadium. The 26-year-old joined from Burnley in a £20m deal in July 2022 and scored 15 goals in 128 appearances for the Toffees.
Everton finished 13th in the Premier League last season, two places above Palace.
The two clubs are scheduled to meet at Hill Dickinson Stadium on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season on August 22.
