Hector Bellerin ‘eager to test himself’ away from Arsenal amid PSG interest
Speculation doing the rounds in the media on Monday suggests that Hector Bellerin is ready to consider a departure from Arsenal this summer.
City victorious
Spanish stopper Bellerin was of course back in action on Sunday evening.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners welcomed Manchester City to north London, for a highly-anticipated Premier League clash.
Arsenal headed into proceedings as heavy underdogs to emerge victorious, with Manchester City of course in the midst of a historic spell of form.
As such, it did not come as too much of a surprise when the Sky Blues added to their 17-game win streak at the expense of their hosts at the Emirates, a little over 24 hours ago.
A solitary goal – netted by Raheem Sterling inside 120 seconds – eventually proved telling, to restore City’s 10-point lead atop the Premier League table:

Despite their side’s eventual defeat, a large share of Arsenal’s fans, though, actually revealed their happiness with the display of Mikel Arteta’s men on Sunday.
The capital giants could easily have capitulated after conceding such an early goal, but, to their credit, stood tall, to remain in with a chance of securing a point throughout proceedings.
PSG bound?
One of a small selection of players, however, who was nevertheless singled out for criticism on the part of the Gunners faithful in the aftermath of the clash, was Hector Bellerin.
The Spaniard struggled to combine with Nicolas Pepe down the hosts’ right, as the gap in class with Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka on the opposite flank was laid bare.
This is of course not the first time that Bellerin has been targeted by Arsenal’s supporters of late, with many of the opinion that the former Barcelona man is no longer the player he once was, and should be moved on as a result.

And, as outlined above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday night is anything to go by, then those in agreement with such a sentiment could soon see their wish granted.
This comes amid claims that Bellerin is now ‘ready to part ways’ with his long-time club, in search of a new challenge.
The information comes courtesy of James Benge of CBS Sports, who cites sources close to the player himself.
French champions PSG – who also expressed an interest in the stopper last summer – are said to be ready to reignite their pursuit, with both Barcelona and a pair of unnamed Serie A clubs also keeping an eye on the situation.
It is added, though, that Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are yet to make a decision regarding Bellerin’s future, with an exit, as things stand, far from certain.
