Arsenal transfer news: World Cup finalist eyed, £9m midfielder targeted & more

Here is all the latest Arsenal transfer news.

First up, according to reports in CalcioMercatoWeb, the Gunners are among a number of clubs eyeing a move for Adrien Rabiot having been convinced by his excellent displays at the World Cup in Qatar.

It is suggested that Arsenal would also be willing to wait and secure the 27-year-old on a free transfer in just a matter of months time.

Next, Arsenal have triggered the option to extend William Saliba’s contract by a further 12 months until June 2024 as talks on a new deal continue. Saliba has been exceptional in defence so far for the Gunners.

Elsewhere, According to Jeunes Footeux,  Arsenal and Manchester United are set to battle it out for the signing of promising midfielder Sivert Mannsverk from Scandinivian outfit Molde.

The 20-year-old has already made 25 times in the Norwegian top flight this term, and was called up to the senior international squad last month.

It is believed that Mannsverk could be available for around £9m.
