The powers that be at Premier League outfit Southampton FC have come to the decision to part ways with manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, according to reports.
The Saints, of course, were back in action earlier today.
Amid a challenging campaign to date, which has seen them struggle for form at both ends of the pitch, Hasenhuttl and co. welcomed high-flying Newcastle United to St. Mary’s.
Southampton headed into proceedings hopeful of avoiding a 2nd defeat on the spin, after being put to the sword by Crystal Palace last time out.
When all was said and done, however, the woes of the Hampshire-based outfit only continued, en route to an eventual 4-1 loss.

And, evidently, not only the result, but latest performance put forth by the Saints’ stars, simply proved too much for the club’s hierarchy to ignore.
As per Dan Sheldon of The Athletic:
‘The Premier League side have agreed to sack the Austrian either during the World Cup break or before they play their final match before the tournament, against Liverpool at Anfield next Saturday.’
Exclusive: Southampton have decided to sack Ralph Hasenhuttl.
They had planned to wait until the World Cup before making a change but could now act sooner.#SaintsFC
