An imminent shake-up to the attacking ranks of Italian giants AC Milan has been confirmed late on Friday evening.
This comes amid a last-ditch deadline day effort on the part of the San Siro brass to reinforce Stefano Pioli’s squad.
Coming through the door ahead of this evening’s Serie A deadline, as confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, will be Fiorentina star Luka Jovic.
The Serbian hitman is expected to arrive on a one-year loan deal, with Milan covering his wages in full:
*Update* - Jovic’s signing has since in fact been revealed to be a permanent one, with the former Real Madrid talent having penned a contract through the summer of 2024, featuring the option for a further year.
Making way for the latest addition to the Rossoneri’s ranks, meanwhile, will be Divock Origi.
Belgian international Origi only made the move to Lombardy last summer, on the back of the expiration of his contract with Premier League heavyweights Liverpool.
A year, and just 10 Serie A starts later, though, the 28-year-old is primed for a return to England.
In a further update by way of the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano, it has been confirmed that Origi is currently in the process of undergoing a medical with Nottingham Forest.
His City Ground switch will come in the form of a one-year loan, featuring the option to buy.
