Man United’s Kim Min-jae backup plan revealed

An insight into the plans of the powers that be at Premier League giants Manchester United, to account for their failed swoop for Napoli star Kim Min-jae, has been provided on Sunday evening.

The name of stopper Kim has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the red half of Manchester over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes after widespread reports confirmed that the South Korean – fresh off being named Serie A Defender of the Year – had been identified as the first-choice defensive target of Erik ten Hag and co.

In fact, some outlets went as far as to claim that a deal between United and Napoli was on the verge of being sewn up, making a transfer as good as imminent.

It therefore came as a heavy blow for all associated with the Red Devils when word arrived earlier this week that, instead, Kim is primed to take his talents to another of the continent’s heavyweights.

The outfit in question? Bayern Munich.

This comes as Bayern prepare to activate his release clause, set to become active on July 1st.

What, then, for Manchester United?

Well, as alluded to above, an insight into precisely that has been forthcoming late on Sunday evening.

The info comes courtesy of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that Monaco star Axel Disasi is now a ‘concrete name’ on the wishlist at Old Trafford.

In the case that Kim, as expected, takes his talents to Germany, United are therefore ready to pivot towards the French international.

Also in the sights of the hierarchy in Manchester, though, is former Barcelona talent Jean Clair Todibo, fresh off a fine season in Ligue 1 with OGC Nice.
