Luciano Spalletti hints at imminent Napoli exit

The latest comments on the part of Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti have piqued widespread attentions on Sunday evening.

This comes after the Italian hinted that his time in the dugout in Naples is on the verge of coming to an end.

Spalletti, of course, is approaching the close of what has proven a historic campaign at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

After implementing a wonderful brand of attack-minded football across his squad, the former AS Roma boss proved absolutely integral in bringing an end to what had proven a long and painful wait for a Napoli Scudetto title.

Safe to say, then, that recent reports, pointing towards a potential divorce between Spalletti and the Partenopei, have come as nothing short of a shock.

Amid suggestions in the Italian media that the 64-year-old has fallen out with notorious club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, Spalletti is said to be considering his long-term future in Naples.

And, as alluded to above, if the latest comments on the part of the tactician himself are anything to go by, then a parting of ways between the two parties may in fact be even closer than previously thought.

Speaking on the back of his side’s Serie A downing of Inter Milan on Sunday evening, Spalletti was asked for the latest on his future.

And the Italian went on to confirm that a decision ‘has been made’, the details of which will be communicated in due course:
