Leicester City team news and predicted XI vs Fulham

Leicester City Team News

  • Out: Jannik Vestergaard, James Justin, Kelechi Iheanacho
  • Doubt: Ricardo Pereira, Ryan Bertrand, Jonny Evans

Leicester City’s struggles continue to defy belief in many ways across the 2022-23 Premier League season as the Foxes very much remain in the relegation discussion which could end in abject failure should Dean Smith’s side fail to avoid the drop.

For a side that consists of talents the likes of James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Jamie Vardy, Youri Tielemans, and Wilfried Ndidi, sitting outside of the bottom three on account of superior goal difference is a reality that few fans would have imagined before the start of the season. With a trip to the capital at the weekend in a clash with high-flying Fulham next on the docket, Leicester could officially be in the relegation zone by the end of the weekend depending on other results.

Smith will be stripped of a handful of players that could have played a part in their hopeful continued escape act, as Jannik Vestergaard, James Justin, and Kelechi Iheanacho are all laid up in dry dock and unfit for weekend deployment, with Iheanacho out for the rest of the season. Ricardo Pereira, Ryan Bertrand, and Jonny Evans are in the process of coming back up to full fitness and are unlikely to feature here but are in line to play a role in the final weeks of the campaign.
