Fulham team news & predicted line-up vs Brighton

The Cottagers continue to enjoy their unexpected lofty perch in the Premier League this season and come into the weekend clash with Brighton sitting 7th and capable of usurping the Seagulls for 6th spot in the table

Over-achieving Fulham heads south from the capital this weekend as Marco Silva’s Cottagers clash with Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton in a fixture that carries unexpected European aspirations as both clubs remain in the hunt for a top-seven finish in the Premier League.

Silva has put to rest any questions surrounding his managerial ability on the back of being hard done during an underrated spell with Everton, with the Lisbon-born tactician instilling a brand of football at Craven Cottage that has stood tall against some of the best that the league has to offer in 2022-23.

What’s more, is that Fulham comes into their meeting with Brighton boasting an undefeated record against the Seagulls across their last six meetings (3-3-0), and sitting just one point behind De Zerbi’s men in the form table. This has every chance of being one of the top fixtures of the weekend.

Predicted Fulham XI

Fulham Team News

  • Out: Neeskens Kebano, Tom Cairney
  • Doubt: Willian, Aleksandar Mitrović

Marco Silva’s Cottagers are likely to be at close to full strength for their away day against fellow high-flying outfit Brighton on the south coast on Saturday, though concerns regarding both Willian and Aleksandar Mitrović could provide possible headaches.

Willian was taken off injured last weekend during Fulham’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage and is a real doubt for selection while facing a late assessment. Mitrović will face similar treatment ahead of the weekend clash but has a much greater chance of featuring in the XI. Should Willian not start, Silva could turn to Dan James in his stead.

Elsewhere, Neeskens Kebano and Tom Cairney both remain absent through injury, with an Achilles problem and a knock to the shin respectively.
