FPL 2022/23: Best captain picks gameweek 10

Week 10 of the Premier League season kicks off on Saturday the 8th of October.

The Fantasy Premier League deadline for gameweek 10 is 1:30 pm UK time on Saturday.

One of the most important aspects of FPL is picking your captain each week. Whoever you select as your captain with earn double their standard score, or triple it if you chose to play your triple captain chip, which you can do once per season.

But deciding on your captain each week can be a very tough decision that can make or break your game week.

With this in mind, 101GreatGoals will be providing you with an insight into the best captain picks for every game week this season.

Erling Haaland vs Southampton (12.1)

The obvious captain choice this week is once again Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian is in simply sensational form for Manchester City this season.

He has already scored 14 Premier League goals in eight games, with nine goals needed to match the Golden Boot total from last campaign. Haaland has also scored three hat-tricks this term, breaking the record for fewest games needed to score three PL hat-tricks by some distance.

Manchester City have an easy home tie in GW10 vs a Southampton side who have shipped 13 in eight.

Harry Kane vs Brighton (11.4)

If for whatever reason you do not wish to captain Haaland, Harry Kane remains a decent option.

Kane is the second-best forward on FPL, with 56 points amassed. He has scored seven and assisted two in eight, which would be impressive in any other season without Haaland.

Tottenham take on Brighton, who shipped three vs Liverpool in their first outing without Graham Potter.

Gabriel Jesus vs Liverpool (8.0)

The last option you may wish to consider is Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian is key to Arsenal’s success this term, already scoring five and assisting three goals.

And whilst Liverpool would have previously been a tough fixture, the Merseysiders defensive record is poor this term and Arsenal are very likely to score.
