England fans in Qatar end up in Sheikh’s palace while searching for beer

Two England fans visiting Qatar for the 2022 World Cup have gone viral after revealing that they ended up in a Sheikh’s palace while on a quest to find beer.

Finding alcohol at the 2022 World Cup is a hard task for some fans, with no alcohol severed in any stadiums this winter.

However, two England fans staying in Qatar found some in an unlikely place.

The England supporters got talking to Nawaf and Abdul Aziz during their ‘hunt for beers’.

The English fans then followed them back to their house, with one of them claiming to be the son of a Sheikh. And this seeming turned out to be the case with Alex and John finding themselves at a palace filled with exotic wildlife.

Speaking to talkSPORT, England and Everton fan Alex said: “We were just having a good time, having a mooch, getting our bearings right and the set-up’s spot on. We’ve been enjoying ourselves.”

John was also part of the group. He said: “Last night we met one of the Sheikh’s sons and he took us back to the palace and he showed us, he had lions and everything.

Alex added: “We were on a hunt for some beers and they said ‘We’ll sort beers’, so we jumped into the back of his Toyota Land Cruiser, ended up in a big palace.

“We were in the back and he showed us monkeys, his exotic birds, it was nuts.”
