Unai Emery’s reputation in the Premier League has been well and truly restored this season since his arrival at Villa Park after the club parted ways with Steven Gerrard, with the veteran Spanish manager and Europa League expert setting the club on a run that could – almost comically – end in their qualification to the very competition that Emery has had so much success with.
