Pochettino wants Lukaku to be his number 9 at Chelsea...

Mauricio Pochettino is soon set to be confirmed as the new Chelsea manager and he has already started planning for next season.

One of the major issues that the Argentine will need to fix is the Blues’ lack of goals with the current Chelsea netting just 31 times in the league.

An answer to their problems could be Romelu Lukaku who has been on loan at Inter Milan and Pochettino has already made his mind up about the striker…

Pochettino’s Lukaku plans

Mauricio Pochettino has already decided to keep Romelu Lukaku, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Argentine plans to convince the striker about his project at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino wants to relaunch his career in west London following his loan spell at Inter Milan.

However, at the moment, Lukaku does not want to return to Chelsea.

His stance is that he wants to play anywhere other than at Stamford Bridge and his preference is to remain at Inter.

Pochettino has plenty of work to convince him to stay at Chelsea.
